First introduced at linux.conf.au 2002, miniconfs are now a traditional element of the conference. They were originally intended as an incubator — both of future conferences and speakers - and this is still an important element.

Miniconfs are chosen through the same CfP process used to select main conference talks. Once selected, miniconfs are organised and run by their proposers.

At this BoF, current and former miniconf organisers will be on hand to answer questions and provide tips on how write a good miniconf proposal, organise speakers, and run a great event.
